Literature Text

When love disappears, what do we have left, but the endless depths of our minds, the swirling torture of aching thought, to mockingly lull us to sleep?

When hope vanishes, any preconceived image of the future begins to fade away, like bleeding colours from an unloved painting, like the echoing shatter of a crystal ball.

And when death makes his inevitable visit, what do we have to show for our lives but the roads travelled, the decisions made, and the love and happiness and hope and grief that we have shared with those most cherished, and sometimes, those we barely knew?

Often it is best to live each moment as it comes, cherishing its fleeting presence for the instant it chooses to grace us with its presence.

And yet sometimes that is not enough.

We crave what we cannot have. A forbidden fruit is always known to be that much sweeter.

But, more often than not, that saccharine delicacy also proves to be our undoing.
Wrote this after watching 'Tristan and Isolde'
Very good movie, if not somewhat frustrating. Those of you who have seen it know what I'm talking about. Those who haven't watched it? You're missing out.

And I dunno...is this worth putting up?

nah, not really
